Fewer digestive symptoms, starting in the first week. Total scores on the validated Gastrointestinal Symptoms Rating Scale (GSRS) fell 31.35% by Day 7 and 45.42% by Day 90.2

Noticeably fewer sugar cravings. Sugar craving scores fell 47.83% by Day 90, and were already significantly lower by Day 7.2

Less urge to snack through the day. Snacking urge scores fell 39.18% by Day 90.2

Lighter legs, less water retention. Scores for water retention and heaviness in the legs fell 37.21% by Day 90.2

A greater sense of control over weight. Self-rated ability to manage weight effectively rose 54.50% by Day 90.2

Well tolerated throughout. At Day 90, 100% of respondents reported no unexpected reactions or adverse events.3

The protocol behind the results

Citruslabs, an independent research organization in Las Vegas, ran a 90 day single group clinical trial on the Biocol plant-based liquid supplement. Twenty adults aged 30 to 65, all with elevated liver enzymes at screening and at least two ongoing digestive or skin concerns, took one ampoule diluted in 8 oz of water each morning before their first meal, across three 28 day periods with two short pauses. The design was open label with no placebo group, and Citruslabs recommends further large scale, controlled studies.

Seven measured checkpoints

Every participant was assessed at the same points across the 90 days, using validated questionnaires, at-home weight and waist measurements, and blood testing at Labcorp locations.

Baseline

Screening for elevated liver enzymes and digestive or skin concerns, plus first questionnaire and blood draw.

Day 1 and Day 3

Early check-ins begin tracking the Gastrointestinal Symptoms Rating Scale from the first days of use.

Day 7

First significant improvements appear: total GSRS score already 31.35% lower than baseline.

Day 30 and Day 60

Continued monitoring across three 28 day periods, with two short pauses built into the protocol.

Day 90

Final questionnaire, measurements, and blood testing. Thirteen of twenty enrolled participants completed this stage.

Questions & answers

What did the study measure?
The measured endpoints were the validated Gastrointestinal Symptoms Rating Scale (GSRS), nine study-specific gut, skin, and metabolic health parameters, body weight and waist circumference, and blood biomarkers covering liver function, lipids, hemoglobin A1C, and hs-CRP. Product perception questions were collected separately and are self-reported.
What were the results?
The total GSRS score improved significantly from baseline at every measured time point, decreasing 31.35% by Day 7 and 45.42% by Day 90 (both P<0.0001). By Day 90, four of the nine study-specific parameters improved significantly: sugar cravings decreased 47.83% (P<0.0001), urge to snack throughout the day decreased 39.18% (P=0.0003), water retention and heaviness in legs decreased 37.21% (P=0.0204), and self-rated ability to manage weight effectively increased 54.50% (P=0.0111). Blood biomarkers, body weight, and waist measurement did not change significantly at any time point.
What did participants report?
Perception data are self-reported. At Day 90 (n=13), 15 of the 16 product statements reached 50% or higher combined agreement, including feeling bloated less frequently (92.31%), an improvement in overall gut health (84.62%), experiencing heartburn less frequently (84.62%), and skin looking clearer (69.23%). All respondents (100.00%) agreed they would like to continue using the product.
Who conducted the study?
Citruslabs, an independent contract research organization based in Las Vegas, Nevada, designed, ran, and analyzed the trial. The report is dated 8 June 2026. Blood draws were taken at participants' local Labcorp locations. The trial was single group and open label with 20 participants enrolled and 13 completing Day 90, and the report recommends further large scale, controlled studies.

Independent corroboration: Citruslabs study summary.

1. Based on a 90 day single group, open label clinical trial in 20 adults aged 30 to 65 with elevated ALT or AST at screening and at least two self-reported digestive or skin concerns. Study conducted by Citruslabs, 8 June 2026. The trial had no placebo group and no randomization; 20 participants enrolled and 13 completed the Day 90 questionnaire.

2. GSRS stands for the Gastrointestinal Symptoms Rating Scale, a validated 15-item questionnaire used in clinical research to measure the frequency and severity of digestive symptoms such as reflux, bloating, abdominal pain, and irregular bowel habits; scores run from 15 to 105, and a lower score means fewer and less severe symptoms. Change in group mean scores from baseline, analyzed by two-way ANOVA with Dunnett's multiple comparisons test in GraphPad Prism 11.0, significance set at P<0.05. GSRS and study-specific health parameters are participant-reported validated and study-specific scales. Five of the nine study-specific parameters, the five GSRS domain subscores, body weight, waist measurement, and all blood biomarkers (including ALT, AST, cholesterol, hemoglobin A1C, and hs-CRP) did not change significantly at any time point. Full data for all endpoints is in the study PDF above.

3. Self-reported participant perception data collected with agreement statements at Day 90 (n=13), reported as combined "strongly agree" and "agree" responses. Perception data are not clinical measurements or diagnoses. At Day 90, 15 of 16 statements reached 50% or higher agreement, and 13 of 13 respondents reported no unexpected reactions or adverse events.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Individual results vary.
